Rachel Richardson currently holds the position of Past-President for the WISE Sudbury chapter. Rachel grew up in the GTA before moving to Sudbury to attend Laurentian University where she studied Physics and Education. During her time as an undergraduate student, Rachel pursued her passion for particle physics by obtaining summer student research positions with the SNO+ experiment at SNOLAB. She also had the opportunity to work at the Large Hadron Collider located at CERN in Switzerland for a summer. Currently, Rachel works as a STEM professor at Cambrian College and and Education & Outreach Coordinator at SNOLAB. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outside, kayaking, playing soccer, and crocheting.
Sara Hicks currently holds the position of President for the WISE Sudbury chapter. Sara was born and raised here in Sudbury and attended Laurentian University where she studied Mechanical Engineering and specialized in Mechatronics. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, practicing karate, outdoor activities such as skating, hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and playing video & board games.
Raziye Asoodeh currently holds the position of Vice-President for the WISE Sudbury chapter. She holds a Master’s degree in Earth Science from Memorial University and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Iran. She has experience in civil engineering, hydrogeology, and mining, including one year at Vale in Voisey’s Bay Mine, where she devel
Raziye Asoodeh currently holds the position of Vice-President for the WISE Sudbury chapter. She holds a Master’s degree in Earth Science from Memorial University and a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Iran. She has experience in civil engineering, hydrogeology, and mining, including one year at Vale in Voisey’s Bay Mine, where she developed strong technical and field skills. She currently works as a Civil Designer at EXP.
She volunteered as an Education Ambassador for the Mineral Resources Review and as a mentor in the Graduate Mentorship Program at Memorial University, supporting students in their academic and career growth.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and making pastries.
Marlee Greenwood currently holds the position of Treasurer for the WISE Sudbury chapter. She was born in Barrie and moved to Sudbury to attend Laurentian University. She graduated with a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering in 2023 and is currently employed at Vale as an Engineer in Training. She enjoys hiking, running, baking, and archery in her spare time.
